In our capacity of controller, we collect Personal Data from you (eg. when you enter in contact with us) or from third parties (eg. from external sources). Should you (intend to) engage with our legal services, we process background or case-related information such as facts or evidence, as well as payment-related information such as billing details and invoicing information.
For the execution of our client’s mandates or for the process of job applications, we may be required to process sensitive Personal Data such as data on criminal and administrative proceedings or sanctions, data on social assistance measures, data relating to health or intimate sphere, data on religious or political opinions or activities.
We primarily process Personal Data for the purpose of contractual performance (incl. pre-contractual steps), such as providing you with legal services (including representation vis-à-vis third parties, where applicable), as well as for the purpose of processing job applications. We further process Personal Data to comply with certain legal and regulatory obligations that we are subject to. We may also send legal updates, newsletters and other informational materials related to our services, although you may opt out of these communications at any time. Finally, we may use Personal Data to improve the quality and efficiency of our legal services and internal processes.
In order to achieve the above purposes, we may share your Personal Data internally as well as with specific, limited third parties, such as our IT service providers (in Switzerland and in the EU). The access to your Personal Data is limited to the execution of our clients’ mandates.In certain cases, we may be required to disclose your Personal Data for the purpose of complying with laws and regulations that we are subject to.
In principle, we retain Personal Data for as long as the purpose require so; in the context of a mandate, that would be usually at least for 10 years. We may be subject to further legal and regulatory obligations.
Data of job applicants that have not been selected is destroyed shortly after the recruitment process. Data of employees is processed according to our internal policies.
We take adequate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration or destruction, based in particular on the risks and the sensitive nature of the processed data. Please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
