In these transactions, the financing was backed by future receivables owed to the borrowers (including international football clubs and international sports organizations), arising in particular from the transfer of players, broadcasting (TV) rights and commercial sales.
Our mandate focused in particular on the analysis and structuring of the Swiss law aspects of the receivables-backed financings, including matters relating to the assignment and perfection of receivables, as well as cross-border considerations involving multiple jurisdictions.
The Chabrier team was led by Thomas Goossens, Partner, assisted by Corinne Antille, Partner, Alexandra Schuvalov and Karina Santa Rita, Associates.
