Success in a case relating to Sovereign Assets

Chabrier ended the year on a resounding success defending a Government Agency against recovery proceedings involving the attachment of certain of its assets in Switzerland.

The main subject of this case was the sovereign status of such assets. The Tribunal Federal (Swiss Supreme Court) upheld our client’s position that the assets in question were indeed allocated to its sovereign tasks and were, thus, immune from seizure in Switzerland.
