Jeffrey obtained a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Geneva in 2018 and a Master’s degree in Economic Law from the same institution in 2021. During his studies, he worked as a Compliance Officer at a renowned Swiss Asset Management Company, gaining significant experience in banking regulations and compliance issues.

Jeffrey joined Chabrier Avocats in December 2020 as a trainee lawyer, and, after his admission to the Geneva Bar in October 2022, continued as an associate.

His main areas of expertise include Swiss and international sanctions, commodities trading, contractual matters (contentious and non-contentious), and banking and finance litigation including white-collar crime cases.

Jeffrey's experience in sanctions and commodities has allowed him to acquire a profound knowledge and understanding of the global trade compliance and regulatory frameworks. In his recent activities, he has assisted clients – including banks, multinational companies, trading companies, and individuals – in navigating the complexities of Swiss and international sanctions regimes. He has also represented and advised clients in sanctions enforcement matters and litigation, transactions, due diligence, licensing, and delisting matters.

Additionally, Jeffrey has delivered courses on international sanctions for a renowned Swiss compliance training organization, teaching banking and finance professionals about the latest regulatory requirements and compliance strategies.
